~ Learning ~

One of life's philosophies sitting at the piano bench with many of my wonderful students - is teaching them the concept:

"If it were easy - you wouldn't be learning"

I've heard countless times over the years: "It's too hard.  I can't do it."  Which as of today, is no longer allowed to say at the bench! Instead: "I am learning, I CAN do it."

I love the moment when we do a replay months later - after the "hard" piece has been mastered, of remembering what was said in the beginning of it being too hard.
So I ask the question: "Why did you think it was hard at the beginning?"
Answer: "Because I didn't know it."
Me: "What did you do to get to this point of mastering it?"
Answer: "Practiced and listened to the song over and over again - every day."

Just like practicing the piano, or any instrument and anything else in life - the more we practice the easier it becomes.  I'm always encouraging my students as well as my kids - just because something looks or seems too hard, don't ever let that stop you from trying and learning it.  This is where growth comes in ... where persistence conquer's all ... where our purpose of progression un-veils itself right before us.

I love this quote that truly weaves it all together:

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier,
not that the task itself has become easier,
but that our ability to perform it has improved.”

Here's to facing the "hard stuff" today - that we may learn, grow and improve beyond our comprehension!

~ Small Things ~

"Be faithful in small things
because it is in them that your strength lies".
~ Mother Teresa

Sometimes I feel as if I need to do "great things" in my life.
That my success is measured by the accomplishment of big things.  Yet, it really is in the small things that lead to the big things.  It is in the small things - simple - do able - things, that seem to have the most meaning.  Just as these tiny yellow flowers in the picture above - they are not big - yet powerful in their beauty, purpose and existence just the same.

I read this quote this morning which is just what I needed:

"Do great things in your life,
but do small things as well."

I heard a comment the other day - "If you can't bake a cake, bring the ice cream!" I loved it - and it humorously lifted a load for me.  We CAN all do something small.  The big things will come as we do the small things!

Finally - this sums everything up perfectly:

"By small and simple things are great things brought to pass."

Step by step . . . And always remember as someone once taught me many years ago.  That if I do my best, that is what matters most.  And that your success is not measured between you and the world, but between you and  the most important being - God.

Here's to living the small and simple things today.
I'll bring the ice cream!  : ) Enjoy each moment of it. ♥

~ Waimea Bay ~

"There always seems to be a party at Waimea Bay!"
-Surf Magazine

In celebration of "Aloha Friday" today - I bring to you . . .
Waimea Bay!

One of our most favorite and memorable adventures we took, was spending the day at Waimea Bay.  The weather was perfect - sun was out - picnic cooler full of food . . . we were here to stay!
We went snorkeling and saw a huge turtle (see 2nd picture posted) - played in the warm water - layed out in the sun - and were entertained for hours watching people jump off the famous cliff in the bay.

Not only is Waimea Bay known for its "epic" surf and competitions, but also for the cliff jumping/diving.
There was a really   b-i-g   Hawaiian guy that kept everyone entertained for the day.  The huge splash shown in the picture above is from him, followed by his well-known trick.  If you look really close, you will see a football flying in the air.  What this guy would do is carry a football up the cliff with him - jump off with the ball tucked under his arm, and then release it once he was in the water.  The pressure rocket-launched the ball straight up and OVER the people/cliff to the other side.  Applause errupted every single time he did it and we never got tired of seeing just how much higher he could launch it.  "So sick" (cool) as my 17 year old said every time he did it!

Have an "ono-licious" Aloha Friday all!!  And for a little more entertainment . . . enjoyyyyy!

~ Everything ~

“There is never nothing going on.
There are no ordinary moments.”
-Peaceful Warrior

Somedays, I just feel like the minutes are ticking away - everything is the same again as it was yesterday, kind of like the movie: Groundhog Day.  Waking up the same time every morning - making breakfast - packing lunches - hurrying kids along to school.  Then what? . . . oh ya - unloading/loading the dishes.  A load or two of laundry, walking the dog, etc. etc. etc.

When the above quote found me a couple of years ago - and then again echoing within the archives of my brain this morning - I thought: "Yes!  This is true . . . it is ME that needs to open my eyes to the "no ordinary moments" and remember that every single second - something - everything -  IS going on!"  Even while I'm going thru my daily motions, feeling like it's just another day like the one before - there still is something going on.  No moment is ordinary - no matter what.  What an eye opener it is for me to know this.  It's like a breath of fresh air into repetitive reality.

Here's to really seeing the "no ordinary moments" today - and open your eyes - w i d e - to all the little tiny miracles happening all around us all the time.  I love this quote by Albert Einstein:

"There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle."

Enjoy your day today. Open your heart and eyes to new discoveries in your moments today.  They are there, you just need to look.

~ The Power of a Smile ~ : )

"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight".
 ~Phyllis Diller

Have you ever noticed just how contagious a smile is?  Even with a total stranger - just for that one moment there is a connection . . . a smile given - a smile returned.  Have you also ever considered just how powerful a smile is?  Try it - smile.  Right now as you are reading this.  Do you feel something different this very moment?  Even if you don't feel like smiling - just do it.  Did you know that by simply smiling, can increase the endorphins in your brain chemistry?!  Just by smiling.  Cost's nothing - and makes you feel great!

Try this test out.  Get a partner.  One partner is #A and one partner is #B.  On the count of 3, partner A is to have a huge smile, partner B a frown.  See how long it takes for the smile to overpower the frown.  It works every time!  Switch partners smiles/frowns and on 3 try it again.  It's like magic.  The person with the frown will never win.  A smile is so much more powerful!  Even the word: "smile" produces the position of a smile on your face right after it's been pronounced!

So, today - S M I L E   : )
Even if you don't feel like it - do it.  And be sure to give one to a stranger as well.
It might be the only sunshine he see's all day.

: )
p.s.... My daughter recently introduced me to this song.  Not only is it up-beat but the lyrics are adorable.  Enjoy!!!

~ Simple Truths of Life ~

"Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process."
~ Anne Wilson Schaef

There are many things I've learned in my life, that have changed, molded and created who I am today.
What is something you have learned that is your life tool?

The simple truths of life are indeed our anchor - our lighthouse - our pathway in this journey.  Today, write down these truths you have learned and teach them to someone you love ♥

~ The Power of 1 ~

"The power of one man or one woman
doing the right thing for the right reason,
and at the right time,
is the greatest influence in our society."
Jack Kemp

The number 1 seems like such an insignificant number, standing alone all on its own.  However, everything in life starts with 1.

I had the opportunity to attend a youth "fireside" last night with about 600 youth in attendance.  The guest speaker was a 16 year old boy named McKay Hatch.  If you don't know who this amazing young man is - be sure to check out his information!

He started a "No Cussing Club" in his high school and in just a short year has appeared on Good Morning America, The Early Show, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, Ryan Seacrest, Jay Leno and many more significant shows.  He now has a website that is world-known with thousands and thousands of members!  The most impressive thing McKay did last year, was go before the state of the California Assembly Board and petitioned them to declare a "no cussing week" . . . . . which was approved!!!

He reminded all who were there last night - that the moment you think you don't have the power to make a difference - to think twice and keep going, don't give up.  He said he never thought how far this would have taken him at the beginning - and now he is known all over the world.  He is a traveling guest speaker to thousands of youth and has made a lasting impact on each one of them.

His next project he mentioned is to bring the "no cussing week" into all 50 states, and was told by the California Assembly, that if he could do it in the state of California - he would definitely be able to do it nationwide.  All I can say is wow!

Here's to YOU - the power of 1 person!

p.s.... Amazing kid!

~ 1st Day of Spring ~

'If I ruled the world, every day would be the first day of spring'
- from the musical Pickwick

Ahhhhh . . . 'tis the first day of Spring!!
It has been quite clear these past few day's in my little corner of the world, that Spring is definitely making her grand entrance robed in blossoms exploding from tree to tree in all various colors.  The song of the busy birds seems to be announcing to all the world -
"spring is here ... the earth is awakening from it's winter slumber!"

I have a big flower pocket container hanging on my wall outside my house along the front porch - where every year the same birds of a feather build their nest in it.  Last year there were 6 eggs layed and all of the birds hatched and survived in their little protected haven.  It was quite fun watching and photographing their progress every day beginning with the white jelly-bean sized eggs to small little brown sparrows taking their first flight from the nest.

Spring is assuredly nature's miracle of awakening and new birth.  It is a beautiful sign reminding us that cold days are now behind us, with warm one's ahead dancing between our barefeet.  Spring causes the soul to rejoice with a smile and add a skip in our step.  It is the miracle of new life, new beginnings and the wonder of nature at her amazing handiwork again.

Enjoy this day . . . relish in each blossom you see and smell.  A new life is waiting just for you! : )

"Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer."
~Geoffrey B. Charlesworth

p.s.... SPRING put to music!!  Beautiful!!  : )

~ Poi ~

"A meal without Poi
is like cornflakes without the milk"
(there's Poi in there somewhere with all of that food!)

In celebration of "Aloha Friday" I bring to the table . . . "Poi."

What exactly is Poi?  Poi, a glutinous purple paste made from pounded taro root (one of the most nutritious carbohydrates known) is the staple starch food of the Hawaiians. Poi had great significance in the Hawaiian culture, as it represents Haloa, the ancestor of chiefs and kanaka maoli (Native Hawaiians). There was a great reverence for the presence of poi at the table. It was unforgivable to have a quarrel, argue or haggle when poi was on the table. Pleasant conversation and heartiness was promoted.

So the next time you are at a Luau or wherever Poi is served - give it a try.  You just might like it . . . or you just might not.  But you'll never know until you taste it!

Have an "ono" Aloha Friday Bruddah!

p.s. . . . a little treat for you! : )

~ Words To Live By ~

"The easy way is rarely the best way"

One of my very dear friends seems to have that sixth-sense in our treasured friendship!  She sent this to me via email "just thinking of you" - today - when I needed it most.

So - I'm paying it forward today . . . to you my friends & family.  And to add the cherry on top - read each one and which ever one jumps out at you (you'll feel it) - THAT is the one for you this week to live by, ponder upon and let it become a part of you.  I'm doing it - mine is listed above.  Which one is yours?

: )

1. Find the lesson in every failure and you’ll never fail.

2. The likelihood that you’re right is not increased by the intensity of your conviction.

3. Real friends help you feel worthy and make you want to be better.

4. When you’re in a hole, stop digging.

5. Don’t confuse fun with fulfillment or pleasure with happiness.

6. Refusing to let go of a grudge is refusing to use the key that will set you free.

7. Hating hurts you more than the person you hate.

8. Counting on luck is counting on random chance. Your odds are much better when you plan and work.

9. Being kind is better than being clever.

10. Don’t underestimate the power of persistence.

11. The easy way is rarely the best way.

12. It’s much easier to burst someone else’s bubble than to blow up your own.

13. You can’t avoid pain, but you can avoid suffering.

14. Self-pity is a losing strategy. It repels others and weakens you.

15. Shortcuts usually produce short success.

16. Control your attitude or it will control you.

17. It’s more important to be significant than successful.

18. The world is waiting for you to heal it.

p.s.....Enjoyyyyyy!!  ♥

~ St. Patrick ~

"'Tis Good To Be Irish"

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day today . . . here's a little background on just what this green day is all about!

One of the most famous legends about St. Patrick is how he drove all of the poisonous snakes out of Ireland and into the sea. In fact, there are no snakes in Ireland today.  And that the power of the shammrock (the trinity) is what he used to do it.  Thus one of the reason's we wear green on St. Patrick's Day - to keep those snakes from coming back and biting us.  This is where the tradition of being "pinched" if you don't wear green comes from!!

Irish Blessing
May there always be work for your hands to do;
may your purse always hold a coin or two;
may the sun always shine on your windowpane;
may a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
may the hand of a friend always be near you;
may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon your fields and,
until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

p.s. A four leaflet is a rare occurrence - Did you know that...

One leaf is for HOPE

The second for FAITH

The third for LOVE

The fourth for LUCK

~ Just Keep Swimming ~

So, yesterday I prayed for much needed energy to accomplish a huge task yesterday of creating and painting huge panels for a gigantic backdrop we are making for a youth "Roadshow" (short play/skit) this weekend.  I was totally blessed with all the energy and more that I needed right down to the last second!  Now, today - I can barely move from bending, stretching, lifting, squatting etc. etc. etc.!!!  Today I'm going back for more - all day long to hopefully get it done.

And as I literally rolled myself out of bed, blindly putting one foot in front of the other - this song started playing through my head and made me laugh a little!!  Enjoy!  : )

~ One More Degree ~

"Spring forward & Fall back"
-daylight savings

Ever since I was little, I have never liked this time change business.  Especially this one - the "Spring Forward" one where we lose an hour.  I have always wondered why we just don't leave well enough alone!  I understand the "logic" that it apparantely saves electricity and for all those sport's enthusiast's that it gives more light later in the day.  But in reality, all I'm hearing in my head is "blah-blah-blah!"

With it being so dark this morning, it made it really difficult to not only get the kids up for school an hour earlier but me too!  And today is most definitely a much-needed boost of inspiration and motivation for me.  I love this video.  It usually works for me with that extra needed inspiration - as I realize and am reminded that all it takes is one more degree of effort to change everything.  And if we dig deep enough - we will find it.  Because we ALL have it.  It's just a matter of choice whether or not to do it.

So!  Here's to longer days ahead filled with more light.  A sign that Spring is blossoming into Summer. Now THAT is what I'm talking about! hahaha!

~ Bitter or Better ~

"You can choose whether to be Bitter in life or
Better"

One of my good friends taught me the above quote yesterday.
She has a beautiful, amazing positive spirit as she lovingly cares for her heaven-sent special needs daughter. She never ceases to amaze me with her endurance and faith in every footstep.

It dawned on me that the words: bitter and better are only 1 letter off.  And just by changing 1 letter, can change everything in your life - for good or bad.

Here's a little something about choosing to Be Happy today!  Have a fantastic day all!  : )

~ The Happiness Machine ~

“Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life,
the whole aim and end of human existence”
-Aristotle

Short post today . . . The video below, says a thousand words on the subject of happiness : )

Watch and think about how this "Happiness Machine" is making everyone so happy . . . and ask yourself, "how can I be like this machine with others today?"  Watch what it is doing, and pay it forward today! : )

As the famous lyrics echo thru my thoughts at this moment . . . "Don't Worry - Be Happy" . . . let's welcome happiness today!

~ Mistakes ~

"Mistakes are the portals of discovery"
James Joyce (1882 - 1941)

Yesterday while teaching piano to one of my very awesome students, we got on the subject of making mistakes.  He being one of my "perfectionist's" and trying so hard to please me - his teacher - discovered something about making mistakes.
As we practiced through his piece a couple of times, mistakes were inevitably made so we concentrated on just that one measure or even sometimes just a couple of transitional notes, specific fingering and hand placement.  After focusing on only the mistake made - and NOT the entire song at hand - practicing it over and over again UNTIL he didn't make any more mistakes . . . he - in his wise little mind realized the key to making mistakes.  That by practicing and focusing just on his mistakes made - he discovered that he at last didn't make the same mistake again.  He was able to progress, fix it and move on with a little boost of achievement. I told him that if we didn't make mistakes not just in piano - but in life - how are we to improve and learn how "not to do it again" and then succeed in whatever endeavour we are taking?

This moment with him reminded me of someone very famous, who invented something so revolutionary at the time and something we still use today - every second.  This is his quote when asked how it felt to have failed and made over 10,000 mistakes:

I have not failed,
I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

- Thomas Edison - the invention of the light bulb.

Thomas Edison didn't see his mistakes as failures, but just one more step closer to success as he learned from them, and how not to do it again.  Another comment he mentioned is:

"Many of life's failures
are people who did not realize how close they were to success
when they gave up".

So, today - embrace your mistakes as difficult as they may seem to swallow.  And believe that they are a good thing in life . . . a human thing . . . a "portal of discovery" . . . and one step closer to success in whatever area of life you are in.  Don't give up until the miracle is achieved!!

Mistakes are like layers in a flower. Each layer opens for you to learn from until you have completely blossomed.  And if someone gives you a hard time when you make a mistake - remind them you are blossoming - one layer at a time!

p.s...Here's a little "light" on the subject!  : )

~ Altitude ~

"Your attitude in life
determines your altitude."

I'm sure you have heard that quote before.  It really is true and has proven true this week.  One of the members of our family (name will stay anonymous - haha), has - shall we say - really been challenged with his attitude lately.  It's affecting everything in his life - school, home, family, friends, church etc.... the list goes on.  We had a family meeting of sorts last night and discussed said issue at hand.  Of course "thoughts" were vocally shared by
Mr. anonymous - and contention immediately walked right into our family room and smacked each one of us in the head.  After some heat was fired up, I was finally able to cool it down a bit so we could talk reasonably and responsibly.  Mr. anonymous I think and hope, might have realized that by working on and improving his attitude will bring much more joy and happiness instead of this misery he has been wading in for so long. AND will bless him with more privileges than ever before.

'Tis true that bad habits are hard to break - BUT - improving inch by inch, day by day will prove true that our attitude determines our altitude.  And nobody else can take that flight but us.  It's so easy to point our finger at circumstances, or other people - that "make us have a bad day" - or determine why we are in the mood we are.  But in the end - it is WE who have the POWER of what our attitude will be.

"Life is formed from the inside out.
What I am inside determines the issues
in the battle of life."

– Dr. William Hornaday

p.s.... Enjoy!

~ Remember ~

"Think of the purest,
most all-consuming love you can imagine.
Now multiply that love by an infinite amount—
that is the measure of God’s love for you."
- Dieter

No matter who you are.  No matter where you go - where you live - how much money you do or don't have.  No matter the house you live in, the car you drive.  No matter your success or failures - or your title in life.  No matter where you have been or where you are going . . .
Remember . . . God Loves You. ♥

Happy Sabbath.

~ Nurture Thyself ~

"The purpose of morality is to teach you,
not to suffer and die,
but to enjoy yourself and live.”
-Ayn Rand

So, I went to the Chiropractor for the first time yesterday.  He did a complete assessment, a complimentary adjustment and then offered a complimentary 1/2 hour massage with the masseuse he has in his office.
I have a sort of phobia I guess you could call it, with all the popping noise that comes from getting adjusted which is the primary reason I have put off going in for so long.  I felt totally taken care of as the Chiropractor took really good care of me - and was gently aware of my little phobia of before-mentioned issue.

I then was directed to the masseuse.  It was just what I needed and I didn't realize how much I needed it until I was there.  She asked me when the last time I had a massage was, and immediately my mind went into the archives of my brain searching for the answer myself!  It had been almost 7 years since I've had a massage.  At that moment I thought: "has it really been that long that I have taken good care - nurtured - pampered myself?"  I realized right then, that I needed to nurture myself a little more.  A dear friend of mine mentioned awhile back that: "you can't draw water from an empty well."  This has stuck with me since, especially from my experience yesterday.

When was the last time you really nurtured yourself?  When was the last time you told yourself that you deserve it?!!!  Life is like a whirlwind at times, keeping you spinning right in with it.  I honestly believe that everyone needs some tender care. . . a little nurturing now and then.  Pizza dough can only be stretched out so far until holes start forming in it and eventually creates a huge hole in the middle.  I figured out yesterday, that if I am like the empty water well, or a big gaping hole in the middle of pizza dough - how in the world am I capable of taking care of everyone else around me, and accomplishing everything I need to?

Today - let's all do something ... simple things count ... to nurture ourselves just a little.  Go ahead you deserve it!  Don't listen to that nasty little voice in your head that makes you feel guilty ... YOU DESERVE IT! .... ANNNNNND NEED IT!  Do you hear me??  : )

Nurturing Thyself Idea List:

1. Have fun and relax. Go to a movie, laugh, take a nap or a massage, meditate, plant a garden, buy a pet.
2. Get enough sleep. Eat healthy food, it influence your moods and general health.
3. Exercise regularly. Builds confidence and self esteem and prevents depression.
4. Know your Strengths and achievements. Write them down. Feel proud.
5. Reflect on your qualities, give thanks for what you have and your loved ones.
6. Get outside - see, feel, smell, listen, touch the beauty of nature.  It's all around you.
7. Watch an inspirational video
8. Read positive books and inspirational quotes.
9. Take yourself on an excursion.  Where have you always wanted to visit?
10. Sit out in the sunshine ☼
11. Listen to upbeat positive music .. dance ♫
12. Pamper yourself - you deserve it!
13. Take a bubble bath.
14. Breathe.

~ Hope ~

"It is the first mild days of March
Each minute sweeter than before . . .
There is a blessing in the air."
- William Wordsworth

Yesterday I discovered my apple tree bursting with blossoms!  Winter's hybernation was revealing it's slumber, as the Hope of Spring was awakening.  These beautiful little buds were just begging for their pictures to be taken . . . a "Kodak Moment" in the making! : )

"March arrives, the last hurrah of winter and the first whisper of Spring.
Slowly our spirits awaken, along with the natural world,
from a long winter's slumber.
Branches that just days ago were bare, now blossom with new growth.
Deep within we feel stirrings of Hope.
- Simple Abundance

What brings you Hope?  A new day?  A second chance to make it better?  A smile, laugh, hug?  This miraculous season of Spring, surfacing with new life?  God? ... what is it for you personally?

Here's to bringing a little more hope into your life today.
Hope is truly a powerful thing . . . sometimes Hope is the one thing that keeps us moving along in the path of life, step by step, one foot on front of the other.
Hang on to it with all you have!!  It's a priceless treasure.

~ Forward ~

"The best way out
is always through."

Last year, my hubby and I had the opportunity to be a part of a "pioneer trek" as a "Ma and Pa" with about 500 youth in our area church group.  Each "trek family" had about 6-7 members in their group.  It was a 3 day journey - and I can tell you right now, I've never worked so physcially hard in my life!

There were times when we watched the handcart groups up ahead of us - pushing, pulling, straining with all they had to make it up extremely steep terrain, wondering ourselves: "how are we ever going to make it up that mountain?!"  Some of the area we traversed through, I wouldn't even ride my mountain bike on.  There were very deep ruts in some locations - others areas filled with ankle deep sand everywhere which made it very difficult to get your footing.  Other areas had to be pushed and pulled over and through boulders and streams.  Some areas were along ridges that dropped off a hundred feet down - and others, ascending straight up to the heavens.

I will always remember near the end of our 2nd day - almost to camp - where some of the most difficult part of the trail was yet to come.  It was the last steep climb before descending (which also proved to be very challenging with a loaded 500 pound handcart, coming down the mountain), we were all very tired - thirsty - hot - sunburned - miserable.  There were people at the front of the handcart holding on - pulling.  Some were at the back - pushing.  And the rest were either on the side ropes or on each wheel, helping turn it over and over again ... inch by inch ... step by step.  There was a moment where our group came to a complete exhausted hault - on the steepest part of the climb. Each person holding on to their station with all they had, nearly giving up when all of a sudden one of the young men began shouting:
"One, Two, Three - PUSH! .... One, Two, Three - PUSH!" repeating over and over again - as we all, with our last amount of strength, gave our most with what we had - pushing, pulling, turning as one hand together ... "One, Two, Three - PUSH!"  We finally made it to the top - inch by inch ... together as a family group!

There are days, where I can still hear that echo -
"One, Two, Three - PUSH!"  -  that helps keep me moving forward ... inch by inch ... making it through yet another steep climb in life. Helping me to continue moving forward - even when I don't feel like it -  or it seems frightening - I can't see my way through the fog - or I have no more energy left.  Those days when I feel a little push, or pull now and then, from something unseen - also helps remind me that I am not alone - ever.  Just like our trek family - doing it together.

Despite all the trials - rough terrain - deep ruts, boulders and steep inclines in life ... I am slowly learning that "the best way out is through."  And once I've made it through - and above the clouds ... I've become even stronger than when I first began.  Resistance is truly a muscle builder - physcially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Making me better coming out of it, because I fought my way through, gritted teeth and all!

Here's to continue moving forward today!

~ Inspiration ~

"The wisdom of the wise, and the experience of ages,
may be preserved by quotations."
- Isaac D'Israeli

As you have probably figured out by now - I love inspiring quotes! To me they are years of wisdom and experience compacted into a one-liner, that is sometimes so profound and life changing - and teaches better than a novel of all the years compiled ever could.

I have books full of them. Journals with pages penned, of quotes that jump-start my heart.  I have quotes all throughout my house framed on various walls.  Quotes in files on my computer.  Everywhere.

So, I thought I would bring to you today - this Monday, a brand new start for the week - some inspiring quotes that speak right to the soul.  And perhaps you'll discover a favorite new quote that will speak right to you as well.
Enjoy it as much as I do!  : )

"It's not where you start
- it's where you finish
that counts."
-Zig Ziglar
