About Me

My photo
I love expressing heart-felt and inspired words that come unseen at times, yet powerful and profound within.
Enlightenment, in between the lines.

As you will find, I truly believe in the divine power of Gratitude. And how, by that power, it can change lives.

This journey of blogging has been an adventure!
And I'm so glad you stopped by for a quick visit : )

~ Life-Squares ~

Life-events
written
become real. Wrapped in flesh.
Moments lived,
wished for, remembered, celebrated.

Today I penned:
"Happy Anniversary my Love"
21 years.
How time flies, when you simply
blink.

Tomorrow's date on our family calendar:
"Taylor's graduating!! ... Miracle!"

Heart-travels back in time
on calendar squares,
reveals life lived.
Birthday's.  Appointments.  Vacations.
Love-words spoken from lips.
These moments fill our
squares of life.

Penned.  Real.  Lived.

And future-days,
patiently waiting to be claimed with a
life moment.
Daily walking with each other.

And daily walking with Him.
He's there in the square's within our every
living, breathing, feeling existence.

Everywhere existing.
Nature.  Love.  Relationships.  Life.

Even in the tremors of life challenges, set-backs, trials ...
dark moments.

In daily walk.  He is there
whispering within.
Sometimes we listen.  Sometimes not.
Hasn't He promised that He is always there
if we but simply seek Him?

Life would be meaningless without him.
He is penned daily life-squares within
soul fiber,
walking moments together.

~ Well Done ~

Life-reflection
causes me to ponder:
have I lived it well
thus far?

So many moments,
experiences,
trials, challenges, broken, growth ...
finding, questions, answers, layers peeled,
discovering ...
being.

Some moments -
feel a lifetime away.
Another breathing existence.
Who was that person
mirrored in eyes from photographs?

A daily gathering of life-moments collaged into
who I am today.

And then I wonder again:
who is this person today? ...
I ask blurred -
aged face, depth stare
from mirror reflection.

Am I who
He
created and wants me to be
and still
become?

Do I live the words
wrapped in flesh
I speak
and those I write-inspired?

I try.

I fall hard.
I get back up.  Sometimes slower than other days.
But I continue ...
one foot in front of the other.

With Him carrying me
when I can no longer walk.

I lack knowledge of many things in life,
as continued learning daily life-lessons
guide my journey
with wonderment, inspiration, faith, taught-humbled,
endurance.

But what I do know,
I feel,
is the most important, valued,
resilient, immovable.

A life well lived ...

Isn't it a daily continuation of our existence?
I've heard the way to measure it,
is by how one serves others.
How one loves others.
Forgives. Inspires.
Is honest.

A daily walk.

And I hope to continue
walking that path with
His hand in mine.

Well done, good and faithful servant;
thou hast been faithful over a few things,
I will make thee ruler over many things:
enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
- Matthew 25:23

~ When fear steps in - remember ~

Anxious breathing envelops.
Heart veins rush -
racing triple time as
fear
settles in.

The ugly power of it all
slithers its way in,
taking control.

Do we forget "where" fear
comes from?

After all, we are only human - yes?
So easily entrapped in
blinded vice -
no escape.

Why is fear easier to let in,
rather than faith and trust?

Within the mess and chaos of
life - fear grips fast -
IF chosen ... allowed ... breathed into
fragile existence.

When fear steps in
remember ...

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"
-2 Timothy 1:7

And if we remember "where" this
power, love and sound mind
is coming from ...

fear no longer has power over us.

Remember to remember.

~ When Life Gnaws Hard ~

When life with all of its elements interwoven
gnaws hard…
deep within the marrow of
brittle, weary bones …
small things overwhelm enveloped … impossible it seems
to even accomplish
dragging the soul into sorrow-depths.

Yet, after much relentless falling,
and rising humbled, there is a life secret
that has the power to conquer
hard moments, and it is this:

Simplify.

Performing a life-check
within and without,
can finally rid vice-gripped heart of
unnecessary, life compiling, energy depleting,
toxic filling, un-needful life mess …
for peace.

Not just physically –
But mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
A spring-cleaning of the soul.

Simplify.

This soul of mine – in daily refining – is
learning this life lesson.
Through trial and error. Through life gnawing hard.
Through daily supplication on knee’s with
hands clasped tight – hope guidance pleading
whispered on lips.

Simplify.

For in this life space
joy-freedom is discovered.
Freedom that has been attempting tirelessly to enter
through heart door.

Simplicity is the pathway to a
Joyful life.
It is also the gateway-key to
gratitude.

For within simplicity,
every aspect of living and seeing deep
becomes vision of
gratitude.

Within simplicity lives gratitude.
Obstruction free.

Gratitude breathing blessings within the
in-between
of it all …

Quietly. Humbly. Patiently.

Simplicity births gratitude.
Gratitude grows a joyful life.

Now, who wouldn’t want that?

“The simplest things are often the truest.”
-Richard Bach

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,
to the which also ye are called in one body;
and be ye thankful.

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
-Col. 3:15, 17

This link is a great beginning for ideas and guidance on how to simplify.
A new breath of fresh air is waiting ...

~ Perfect Chaos ~

Mothers Day morning arrives with
flowers hand picked from our garden, alongside hand selected cards.
Words echo happy:
"I love you's" - "Happy Mothers Day" -
"Here, let me do that for you" ...
yet, with all the same chaos,
that weaves through life moments.

A mother,
whether on a designated day of the year -
or any other,
still walks through daily
gift-moments
internally programmed without a
second thought
to do so.

To automatically clean up,
wipe a tear, embrace her child running full speed into her
open-love arms.
Quiet contention rising, kiss the cheeks, discipline,
watch over, plead for "just today," help with homework,
speaks love from lips, and holds life-wishes for her growing children.
All of this, every minute of the day.

Why would she even consider to cease
doing her life calling
on a day that recognizes mother?

And with a kiss from grown-son on the cheek,
a "Happy Mother's Day" hug and wish from beautiful daughter,
"You are the best wife and mother I could ever ask for" from hubby ...

These - these gifts in the daily perfect chaos of just
how it should be,
these are the golden threads
woven within heart-womb of this mamma.
These fleeting moment glimpses
plucked out of ordinary daily routine,
pool within soul
filling mother-veins with priceless treasure-breathing
life frames
etched forever.
Worth more than any amount of money can buy.

Every day is Mother's Day - really.
She, the vine connected to each living pulse
around her,
never quits. Always sacrifcies.  Always comforts.
Always loves.

She walks this path
all the days of her life.
She, the co-creator of life spirits with
Him.
He - her guiding force in daily life with these precious
souls,
entrusted in her.

Holding her tender heart in His loving hands.
