So, I asked the 3,000th viewer what he would want me to post for today, and his answer was: "to bless us with what you know to be true." So - today's post is just that. What I know to be true. (don't know if it will "bless you" like it does me, but hopefully it might touch you somehow).
I've been pondering this ever since, and here is a list of what I know to be true. Before you read on - remember that this is what I know. That's the beauty of it. The freedom right here on my blog to share what I know, without any apologies given - or judgments received. Even if I am the "minority of one" - these are my truth's. As you read them - think of what you know to be true for yourself. I would love to hear from YOU!! : )
♥ I know first and foremost - that there is a divine, intelligent, loving God - a Father in heaven - who custom created each of us. With all of our unique talents, gifts, abilities, bodies - all of it. Who loves me - you - everyone - unconditionally and who knows us individually - by name. I also know that He created the heavens and the universe - all the planets and everything in them. Animals, insects, the seasons, cells, the perfect ebb and flow of creation. How could something so grand and marvelous be created and operate perfectly by happenstance or coincidence? Take science and religion out, and add logic ... it's in its perfect line of organized creation, by a Masterhand.
♥ I know that Jesus Christ came to the earth to fulfill the purpose of being the perfect example of unconditional love, charity, kindness, teacher, and ultimate sacrifice of His life for mine - all of ours - so that one day - we may have eternal life. It has been said that if there was only 1 person on the earth, He still would have sacrificed His life. I know that if I live my life as I should - trying every day through all of my falling down and picking myself back up - that I ... like everyone ... have the opportunity to partake of this most amazing gift of the Atonement. He is my brother, friend ... my Savior.
♥ I know the power and gift of the spirit of God - or the Holy Ghost - is real and true. It is available to all mankind - and its soul purpose is to reveal truth, give guidance, protection and personal manifistation, inspiration and revelation. I have felt and continue to feel its companionship many times in my life.
♥ I know that by really studying, pondering, praying, meditating upon the scriptures - the word of God - I have come to know the above mentioned, day by day. Personally, spiritually and without a doubt.
♥ I know that Gratitude can create miracles. That it's one of the highest energies next to love. It has brought to my life - joy, postitivity, simplicity, abundance, love, awareness, fullness, and divinity. I know that when I'm in the "attitude of gratitude" - I am in a place of contentment and at peace, totally immersed within my life ... not wanting anything more, because everything I have and need is already before me. Gratitude honestly is the pathway to long lasting happiness. The secret is to simply open your eyes to the every day little miracles all around us and simply be grateful for them. My gratitude journals are some of my dearest treasures I have.
♥ I know that prayer also creates miracles. I've seen it and have also been the recipiant of its power. I also know that every prayer is answered ... some immediately ... some years later - but they always are answered.
♥ I know that Faith has carried me through the many challenges and trials in my life. And that when I am going through challenges and trials, my mantra becomes:
"O ye of little faith, wherefore did you doubt?"
I know that faith also has power beyond our comprehension. And that when I have faith - it replaces my fears, because the two cannont coexist. That by faith miracles happen. And it is when I finally surrender my will and thoughts and have faith, that mighty moments happen.
♥ I know without a doubt, that I am not perfect. That I have many faults, that I am stubborn at times, that I don't know the answers to everything in life. That I fall and have to pick myself up again. But, by not being perfect - I still try to be a good person. I will never be perfect - but I know if I do the best I can do in all areas of my life, that will replace my imperfections a little bit. : )
♥ I know that humor and laughter is honestly the best medicine ever. It can break the ice of tension within seconds and heal contention, anger, hatred, frustration, and extreme stress within moments. It has also been proven to be the #1 aid for serious illnesses and diseases. Even smiling lights up the soul. Try it - every day. Even when you don't feel like it! : )
♥ I know that when I am helping others, and being in the service of someone else - I am not only serving them, but serving God as well. And that by doing so, an added bonus is that I am filled with love and joy by simply extending a helping hand. Isn't it amazing how that version of the circle of life happens?!!
I've always loved Mother Teresa's example of service and her quotes. This one sums up service perfectly:
"Love cannot remain by itself -- it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service."
♥ I know that there are truths in many things in life, and that all good things are OF and come from God.
♥ I know that I am a daughter of a loving God. I know where I am going, and where I came from. I know that my family is eternal.
♥ I know that speaking kind words, brings kind echo's. That by complimenting with sincerity from the heart - to anyone - brings again, full circle, joy on each end.
♥ I know that positive thoughts and attitude, creates a positive life. And so does the opposite option. So why would anyone "choose" to bring negativity into their life? Both are a choice. I might as well choose to be happy - right?! : )
♥ I know that pride - which is the complete opposite of humility - can destroy lives, and has destroyed civilizations repeatedly throughout history.
♥ I know that Love also has amazing power and that when I see others through the eyes of God - I can also love them ... uncondtionally.
♥ I know that to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens. That when I become impatient, anxious, worried ... all I have to do is remember and accept my "season." Sometimes it's really difficult - but there again, if I surrender and have faith - everything always works out.
♥ I know that Virtue is the most powerful and beautiful makeup for the body - inside and out.
♥ I know that without my family - I would be truly empty. They are everything, and more, to me.
♥ I know that my amazing friends bring such a rewarding gift of friendship to my life. I am truly blessed.
♥ I know that music has power beyond comprehension. And that sometimes it is the only thing that can touch and heal the deepest depths of the sea within the very core us. It is a universal language that speaks with precise divine understanding, to each human being.
♥ I know that if I stay healthy - working out, eating good/healthy foods - that it truly keeps me healthy, feeling wonderful and gives me energy in all areas of my life, not just physically.
♥ And I know that if I don't end my list right now - I will be late for my most favorite class at the gym!!
There you have it. This list is really endless ... but I topped it with my priority "what I know's." I would love to hear back from you, of what your own truths are. I love shares - as I grow and learn so much from them. They truly touch my heart!
