About Me

My photo
I love expressing heart-felt and inspired words that come unseen at times, yet powerful and profound within.
Enlightenment, in between the lines.

As you will find, I truly believe in the divine power of Gratitude. And how, by that power, it can change lives.

~ Tempo ~

"Sometimes in life
we need to
slow
down to see life."

The sound of the ticking clock
emphasizes - every second in life is valuable
moving along with its constant rythmn
throughout the day ...
Tick-tock ... tick-tock

I go about my existence, sometimes at
lightening speed ...
missing life happening on the sidelines,
as if it were just a
blur
from the intense speed I am
passing
it by with.
Eyes blinded
to the
journey
along the way,
being more concerned with the
destination.

As with life, there is a delicate

tempo in music.
I continually remind my amazing
piano students,
that just because someone can play
fast,
doesn't mean they are a good pianist
if the tempo is
uneven.

Tempo.  One of the most
important
elements in music, can shape a beginner into an
advanced student within
seconds.
The next aspect I remind them is
if their tempo is uneven - that they need to

slow down

and perfect it at a slower tempo,
to see and learn from it more clearly, with
enlightenment
and continue on with
even tempo.

Have you ever noticed in life
that more mistakes are made,
frustrations brew
stress boils
the mind is all clutter
when we hurry faster ... increase our speed?

Beat, rhythm
cadence, momentum, pace, pulse ...

Life.

Today is the day for you to make
even
your tempo.
And if needs be, to
slow
it down ... see life ...
the sidelines - the journey -
YOU.

What are you
missing
with your fast, busy, uneven tempo
in life?

Slow down. Even it out.

See life today.  Breathe. Capture the moments

For in them,
you will also see and feel
Spirit.

~ For the Love of ... ~

I go
because he likes it when I am there ...
watching, cheering, waving.
There.
Giving of my time
for him -
for the love of him.

I do
a myriad of things
during the ticking seconds in the day.
Over and over
for them -
for the love of them.

I see
unmeasured miracles
in Creation - all around me
everywhere -
every day.
I bask
in His Light giving Light -
pause for a moment

- breathe in the existence
around me. And be still.
Silent.

Eyes are bathed
in the perfect splendor
of an endless sea,
or a majestic mountain top,
the ebb and flow of
miraculous season's.
They are a miracle indeed.

All of these
moments, gifts, elements, intricate details ...

are for the Love of

YOU!   YOU!  YOU!

For the Love of us ...
For the Love of
me.

His Love in
all
things.

It's there ...
do you see it?  Can you feel it - hear it?
Smell it - taste it?

Today is the day
for the Love of
you
from the Love of
Him.

~ Someday ~

"Someday
is a dangerous word.
It's just code for ...
never."

Hearing those words for the first time, pricked my heart.
My spirit.
Silence echoed in the air ...
my ears shut out everything else around me,
as a light illuminated
whirlwinding within every corner of
my mind
awakening synapses
from
a deep frozen sleep.

Why?

Could it be because
truth
unveiled itself within those words,
- that word -
wrapped in flesh and bone ...
real.
For me?

How often in our
lifetime
do we hear the familiar word:
"Someday?"
Why has it become the norm,
so easy to say, with no second thought from the lips
 - swept under the rug
as a cover-up,
a mask,
to hide that which could be ...
should be?

We stare
empty
out into the vast ocean of our
yearning soul within,
as the word Someday
descends
deeper and deeper,
farther out of reach ... entering the
depths
of liquid despair,
expelling
oxygen ... our precious breath and energy of
life.

What are your
"Someday's?"
Do you hear that
voice
paying an unwelcoming visit
every once in awhile
 convincing you -
Someday is ok?

It's a cancer,
toxic
for our spirit.

"Someday I will be happy
when I have a bigger house."

"Someday we will go on a vacation
when we have more money."

"Someday I will
live my dream,
rise to the potential I was
created to be."
Someday.

There is a key word found in those
"Someday's."
"I will."

I will.

Now.
No matter where I am in life.
What I have or don't.
I will
make someday
today.

Full of life.
Full of breathing existence.
Full of passion.
Full of Light.

Why on earth do we allow that voice,
the voice of discouragement -
hold us back, barricade our journey
and realm of existence -
convincing us,
when we have already declared:
"I will?!"

Today
is your Someday!
Make it so,
make it happen.
YOU have the power to
unveil
your Someday into
today.
There is always a way.
Always.
Spirit ignited in full force
will lead the way.

Heaven's mercies
will pour down upon you.
Guide you.  Open your vision.  Inspire.
Seek
His hand.  His guidance.  His help.

"Someday is not a day of the week."
-Author unknown

Someday,
is opportunities
assassin.

Transform your
"could's & should's"
shaped into
"I will."

Today
is Someday.

~ Memorabilia ~

"Frozen moments of the past
that find us in the future ...
ignite the
soul
in an instant -
transporting us to that very place
once again."
~ Lisa May

"Spring cleaning"
introduced herself personally to me last last week ...
with vigor motivation and passion.
You know - those moments when the birthing of an idea,
desire and ambition
awakens the sleeping spirit, introducing a
 brand new day -
eye's suddenly wide open,
and there's no stopping
its momentum?
We become a powerful force on a impossible mission!

The "impossible" I'm speaking of
is organizing, piling, sifting, sorting through and
reminiscing
countless years of memorabilia.

Pictures with toothless grins from ear to ear,
instantly launch my heart right back to that very moment
so long ago forgotten.
Salamanders cupped in a young boy's hands -
eyes wide open in awe and wonder of its creation,
captured forever. Frozen - as time stands still
 in print.
I remember.

                                                              Freckled cheeks,
dark brown pig-tails and
chocolate brown eyes
that sear a burning hole right into the depths
of the soul
fixed - stare right up at me.
Caught in an instant
with the click of a camera.
Forever.
I remember.

Greetings cards
composed awkwardly in cherry-red crayon declare:
"I luv you mommy.
You are the best mommy in the whole world!"
Moments such as this, catch me unexpectedly off-guard.
I  slow down my hurried pace of accomplishing this task,
and - with a long sigh - stop and sit back.
Eyes become wet.
The words suspend as an echo in the air around me.
My fingers trace the red letters.
I remember.

"Happy Anniversary" ... 20 years of
bliss, joy, sorrow, tears,
laughter, trials, challenges, adventures,
departure, embracing, loving -
all intertwined in a kaleidoscope of
Promises. Commitment.  Love. Dedication. Joy.
Eternal union.
I remember.

"Happy Birthday's"
etched forever
from some who have passed
beyond the veil,
inked with their spirit ... a fingerprint of
their very own unique reflection,
permanently -
inscribed with their distinguished handwriting.
I remember.

Journal's
penned of life's journeys.
Joy's. Gratitude engraved. Mortal moments.
Goal's accomplished and those still yet to be.
Spiritual testimonies. Awakenings. Discoveries.
Countless dates. Records kept.
A hand-print of who I am,
for generations yet to come.
hand-written ... forever.
I remember.

Favorite books
of  long ago...
now faded, bent pages and worn binding.
Beloved "once upon a time" stories read
over and over and over again,
each night as the crickets chirped outside -
beneath a black licorice, starry studded canopy.
Our bodies tucked lovingly with uncontrollable giggles,
cocooned under grama's hand-stitched quilts.
Laughing. Journeying. Savoring.
I remember.

Pictures.
"I love you's."
"Get Well's."
an abundance of handwritten notes inscribing
forever friendships
endearing through the years.
All of these, tug at the heartstrings ...
transporting my being,
my mind, my emotions.
Collected, sorted,
treasured in protection forever.
I will always remember.

What do you remember?
All of these pieces, moments, memories
are golden threads
in the tapestry of our lives.
Treasured, priceless collections
such as this
gathered up in your own life and corner of existence,
- a snapshot picture
of who we are.
Who we have become and still are
becoming.

Here's to treasuring your memories of the past
and remembering them today.

~ What think ye? ~

“It isn't what you have, or who you are,
or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy.
It is what you THINK about.”
 ~ Dale Carnegie

One of my Facebook friends posted this as their status today.  As I've mentioned before - I love quotes.  And as has happened before, this one jumped out at me today.  And when that happens ... well, you know - I must need it.  Or it was also meant to be for someone else today.  Within the void of cyberspace, reaching out to a heart - without my knowing.

So, what THINK ye?  First of all, what are your own thoughts about this quote?  Now, do a mental check off - what exactly do you think about everyday?  Sure, we all have our laundry list of thoughts.  But here's what changes even the most mundane - busy - overloaded thoughts:
 Positive vs. Negative.

It has been said that we are what we think.  Well, I say if that is true - then we better be thinking good thoughts.  Of course negativity will still creep in ... always does.  BUT - if we are to be the "captain of our souls," then let us control, conquer, and lead out with good.  Positive.   Gratitude.  Appreciation.  For therein lies the pathway to happiness and lasting joy.  After all, there is always the alternative ... but why EVER waist such precious life energy on the negative and entertain that choice when you have the better one?

In the book/movie: "Eat Pray Love" - there is another amazing quote that of course jumped out at me.  It follows perfectly with my blog thought today:

“You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should be trying to control.”

So!  Here's to thinking positive today.  No matter our circumstance.  No matter what we have or don't have.  Where we are - what we are doing.  Make a difference in YOUR world by first cultivating your thoughts.  Then go out into your own corner of the world and teach others to do the same!

Happy thinking today!  : )

p.s....One of things I think about when I think about positive thinking - attitude etc. is the movie: "Life Is Beautiful" and how the father - no matter what - always stayed positive for his son, even while in the concentration camp.  Amazing example.  Here's a little clip of one of my favorite scenes.  While you're watching it - think of how you can bring positive thoughts into your life today and those around you.
AND how fortunate you are.  How blessed.
