To celebrate "Aloha Friday" today - I'm posting my most favorite place on earth!

Last year we had the amazing opportunity to spend 10 days in the little town of Kailua (found on the Hawaiian island of Oahu). 
It truly was a slice of heaven. 

The white sand along the beautiful emerald and tropical blue warm waters, was as soft as powdered sugar.  I walked every morning and night along the beach ... savoring every second of it.  It is also a great place for fun recreation with all of the wind-surfers riding along the waves, flying off a wave into the air and back down in the water.  We watched them for hours as we layed out, walked, played and immersed ourselves within the warmth of liquid blue.

It's a small town with a little market on the corner of the street to the beach.  And as I mentioned before has the best "shave-ice" on the island!  There is just something about this slice of paradise that still - to this day - tugs at my heart with a feeling of homesickness.  Someday ... we'll be back!  But in the meantime, enjoy the pictures of this beautiful creation on earth!  A little history of how it all started.
